Uruapan Airport

Uruapan’s "Gral. y Lic. Ignacio López Rayón" International Airport is located within the city and as strategically constructed in the center of Michoacán state. It connects the "Meseta Purepecha" region with the "Tierra Caliente" towards the Pacific Coast.

It was incorporated into the ASA Network in 1970. The airport occupies an area of approximately 264 hectares and its apron for commercial aviation covers 15, 652 square meters; it has three positions and a runway 2.4 kilometers in length, suitable for B-737 and A320 aircraft among others.

There is a restaurant, shops, money exchange, a cafeteria, snack bar, and parking for more than 100 vehicles as well as a ground transport service.

Hours of operation are from 7:00 hrs. to 19:00 hrs.
